    10 Best PR Accounts to Follow on Twitter

    Who are the best PR accounts to follow on Twitter? The answer is there are tons, literally tons of them and while this list is a small fraction of everyone who is influential in the PR space on Twitter, we decided to round up the 10 best for various reasons.

    Inspired by the thread below from Sarah Evans and the answers within the thread, we decided to compile a list of PR accounts that we and others follow to seek advice, tips, and direction from within the public relations space.

     

     

    Lou Hoffman, The Hoffman Agency

    What he tweets about: 

    News articles, PR/communications, cool pics/videos

    Why we follow: 

    Lou Hoffman is a veteran public relations professional with over 35 years of experience. He is the Founder and CEO of The Hoffman Agency and is the author of Ishmael’s Corner, a blog that tells storytelling through a business prism. Lou’s feed is witty and packed with insights any PR professional would benefit from knowing.

     

    Dorothy Crenshaw, Crenshaw Communications

    Why we follow: 

    Another veteran PR professional, Dorothy Crenshaw has been in industry for over 30 years. She is the CEO of Crenshaw Communications and their approach is as simple as, "Creative Public Relations That Builds Business and Brands." As her profile bio states, “word nerd, proud adoptive mom, southerner in NY, Oxford comma fan, media, politics, PR, marketing, books.”

     

    Katie Delahaye Paine, Paine Publishing

    What she tweets about: 

    Data, measurement, racial injustice

    Why we follow: 

    Katie Paine was originally a reporter for the Boston Herald from 1976 to 1979. From there, she got her start in public relations and communications in 1986 and has been perfecting her craft ever since. She’s been called “The Queen of Measurement” and her timeline truly show why. She is a must follow for today’s data-driven approach to PR.

     

    Amanda Milligan, Fractl Agency

    Why we follow: 

    Amanda Milligan is the growth director for Fractl. She started at the agency in 2013 and took a brief break before returning in 2019 to lead marketing and growth efforts. Her Twitter feed is packed with information regarding the Fractl podcast, her thought leadership on various intersections of PR and SEO, and some hilarious RTs about growth from various perspectives.

     

    Ella Minty, Circklo

    Ella Minty has been in the PR and communications industry for over 15 years. She specializes in crisis and reputation management for countries and governments. Aside from being an adviser, she’s also a coach, published author, and social entrepreneur.

     

    Christina Nicholson, Media Maven

    What she tweets about: 

    Journalist requests, client news, inspiration & motivation

    Why we follow: 

    Christina Nicholson first started her career as a journalist reporting for a number of broadcast news outlets in the mid-2000s. In 2015, she shifted into the PR space and is also a former TedX speaker. She currently works in PR owning and operating Media Maven as well as hosts a variety of morning shows on Lifetime TC. All while being a full time mom!

     

    Hinda Mitchell, Inspire PR Group

    Why we follow: 

    Hinda Mitchell is the President and Founder of Inspire PR Group. She started in PR over 25 years ago and eventually founded Inspire PR Group, a Women's Business Enterprise National Council certified company. As her bio states, “Comms Strategy, Media, PR, Digital, Issues, Crisis, Brands,” which is what you can expect from her feed.

     

    Molly McPherson, Molly Baker McPherson

    Why we follow: 

    Molly McPherson is a go-to resource for crisis communications. Her expertise helps clients navigate crises and preserve their reputations. Her podcast is filled with tons of amazing guests who share about their experiences in the PR space and filled with valuable tips for listeners. Follow her for insights, tips, and advice from her own experiences and from others.

     

    Tressa Robbins, Burrelles

    PR trends, company news & content, trending news

    Why we follow: 

    Since 1998, Tressa Robbins has worked for Burrelles, a PR and communications software provider. She’s also been an instructor at Southeast Missouri State University where she taught courses revolving around social media, PR measurement, and integrated communications. Aside from helping with PRSA and PRCA. Her feed is filled with lots of news and resources any PR professional would find helpful and relevant.

     

    Francis Ingham, PRCA

    Why we follow: 

    Francis Ingham has a plethora of PR experience and titles to his name. He’s the Director General of PRCA, Chief Executive at ICCO, and Executive Director of LGcomms aside from being a visiting professor at The American International University in London. If you’re a PR pro in the UK chances are you already follow Francis and if not you should start soon!
